Been expecting this. Capel has great lineage and has been recruiting well. Not to mention the portal which they have expertly navigated.

What does his lineage have to do with Pitt's success? He's not exactly an all-time great. JB is in the HOF, if you want to talk lineage.
Boeheim said he was "available." I'm assuming going 4 for his last 25 from 3 had something to do with it. Then again, why not try him when things are getting out of control?
Weird that he didn't try the portal at all this year for help at wing, though...
Not disagreeing with this, but the last three games were either Q1 games or just outside Q1. They were all tough opponents.
Interesting about your thoughts on Capel. I think most of the Pitt fan base had him on the hot seat coming in. 51-69 in five seasons. The portal really worked out well for him this season, but he was mostly a dud before this year.
Agreed. That's why I said that I was expecting this. I think he's a good coach. Just my opinion....
First time in 17 years we have allowed 90+ points in back to back games. I don't recall an opposing coach putting in walk-ons when we were losing.
