Thoughts on the game?

Raise your hand if you had “Dan Villari rushing for 100+ yards in Syracuse’s first ACC win” on your preseason Syracuse football, bingo card…

Am I the only one that thought the Shrader backflip was really foolish? The guy is unable to throw a forward pass to save his life, but he's doing backflips? Nonetheless, very happy with the game plan and of course the outcome.

Great win today for the team and the staff. For as much flack as the staff has taken over the losing streak, they really deserve a lot of credit for everything they implemented today, knowing they had a quarterback who couldn't throw, but used their skill positions to their benefit to find a way to win. Also, if Shrader rushed for just four more yards, they would've had three guys hit 100 yards on the ground. That is impressive. And nice to beat Pitt given the poor record they've had against them for the past 15 years.

Agree 100% here. Seems like a perfect scenario to further injure your throwing shoulder if you can't stick the landing.

Syracuse is a northeast school playing in the snow belt. Nothing wrong with playing in the trenches and daring the other side to stop the run. Really loved how they used Villari and hope that they have more wildcat looks in the future.

Agreed. So hard to beat Pitt. They were 1 for their last 10 against them.

If the coaching staff draws flack for losses, they deserve praise for wins. Nice game plan knowing they didn't have a quarterback available that they could trust to throw a forward pass.

Yes, tongue firmly implanted in cheek, but what a challenge for the guy, and with the $15 million payout, he sure doesn't need to be the top paid coach!!

I would be interested in a guy like Liam Coen. Seems like the options will be retreads or high-risk, high-reward young guys.
