Not sure if anyone has seen the news out on Syracuse target Daewood Davis, but he tried to commit today to Miami (FL), but because of some confusion, the Miami staff did not accept his committment (it is all in the linked article).
Anyways, why you should care is that I talked with both Daewood and his coach (Hill) about it. The mix up has soured Daewood's feelings towards UM, however they are still his #1. His #2 right now is Syracuse and he now wants to look harder at Syracuse as a possible destination. Coach Hill said, "this opens the gate for Syracuse" and Daewood confirmed that.
