Coming in for the Maryland game. Have to say that after Shafer's comments at the ACC Football Kickoff I thought that was the end of the story. When the biggest thing a coach says about a recruit is "I wish him all the luck in the world" it doesn't portend much hope. Thought probably he'd be onto football in a non-power 5 conference or lower division since the thinking was this kid doesn't take his school work seriously, his self-discipline seriously, or both.
Shockingly and pleasantly surprised he is making his way over to the Hill for the weekend. And, believe it or not, it was on Shafer's invitation. Sounds like this kid is getting it right. Chaplick says "He's doing a good job, he's respectful in my office, he's on time for school and does everything we want him to do on the field."
I like everything about that. This could be fantastic.
