2017 ATH Chris Chukwuneke (NJ): Chukwuneke came to Syracuse already holding the Orange in high regard. He was unable to stay for the basketball game today, however, he says he saw more than enough to have been impressed by the visit.
"I had a great time, I couldn't stay for the basketball game, but everything else was great."
There was definitely one part of the tour that stood out more than others however.
"Touring the indoor facilities for sure, not many places have the opportunity too have multiple indoor places where they can practice."
Before the visit, Chukwuneke told me that he was hoping to receive a scholarship offer from the staff. Coach Reynolds and Coach Hart are the two really recruiting him, and they told him that they loved his film. So did an offer come?
"No offer, but I am most likely going back up in the spring. They loved my film and they were happy I came up, they see me playing either side of the ball, the defensive backs coach liked my play at safety in my state final game, they want to see me again."
Chukwuneke was already high on Syracuse, but the coaches were able to impress his mother as well, which is important in his recruitment.
"I was already very interested in Syracuse but this visit raised my interest because they were able to impress my mom from an academic standpoint so that's a plus."
