2017 3* ATH CJ Holmes (CT): CJ Holmes is one of the more interesting prospects to visit because he holds impressive offers from SEC schools and is receieving interest from some other big time programs. The visit to Syracuse however definitely gave him something to think about.
"On my visit I viewed the entire field house including the basketball and football building. I had a chance to talk with the head coach and I enjoyed the in depth convo we had about coming in early and having an impact on the program. I love the football facilities, very nice, clearly high quality, and well thought out."
Being able to take in the basketball game was very beneficial to Holmes as well because he was able envision what Syracuse would feel like on gameday.
"My favorite part of the visit was viewing the basketball game, getting a chance to feel the atmosphere of campus on a game day. Syracuse is definitely one of the schools I could see myself at."
For Syracuse, Head Coach Dino Babers really made an impression with Holmes. However, Syracuse might have another secret weapon in running backs coach Mike Hart. According to Holmes, those two are the coaches that really stuck out to him while on the visit.
"Coach Hart too, along with the head coach. They were just very real with me and my family and showed a TON of interest in me joining the program."
So what did this visit do for the talented three-star athlete?
"It increased my interest in Syracuse, I will be back to visit for sure."
For Syracuse to get things going this early on Holmes could pay huge dividends as time goes on. He will certainly be a prospect that the coaches keep close tabs on as the recruiting process plays out.
