from Syracuse Athletics:
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse defensive lineman Cody Roscoe's strip sack setup the Orange's game-winning drive, and he has been named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week for that effort.
Roscoe posted his second-straight multi-sack game, with two more against Liberty on Friday night. He now has 5.5 on the season, which ranks tied for second nationally behind Florida State's Jermaine Johnson. He also leads the ACC with 2.0 tackles for loss per game.
He's been a strong spot of an Orange defense that has been getting after the quarterback. They've posted 14 sacks in the last-two games, which is the highest two-game total in program history. As a team, the Orange lead the ACC with 4.5 sacks per game this year, which includes not recording any in the season opener. Their 9.8 tackles for loss per game also leads the league.
The Orange hit the road this week, looking for their third-straight victory at Florida State.
